So in the past I have tried to overclock my radeon 7950 with the 500w power supply by using CCC, and I will see a slight improvement in games for a bit, then after about 5 minutes the game will freeze for a while and sometimes quit. So I wasn't sure if it was the psu, but I though i would ask to see.

Specs:

Intel 4770
8 gb Ram (1 stick)
Radeon 7950
Super Flower 500w gold Psu
DVD writer
1Tb 7200rpm

Well how far did you overclock it. You really want to start out with small increments then testing for stability and if its stable for say 10 minutes, increase it some more, rinse and repeat until its unstable. The revert it back to the last stable point you had and stress test it until thats unstable or until you feel its stable enough. (personal preference, I personally would just run it either overnight to test for stability and if it passes I'd call that stable enough)
