Hi folks

Here I come with another question for video specialists on Tom'hardware forums .

My PC has no video card. The processor is an Intel i3-4150 that provides the video.

The video is very very satisfactory if I watch a recorded video on the internet or a film or any video on youtube. The problem I have is if I watch a streaming hockey game on the web. The quality is really not up to par. It leaves much to be desired. I have tried from 2 different web streaming sources and the quality was not any better whether coming from source A or source B.

My previous computer had no video card either and the video was provided from an A8-5600K processor. I had the same problem. Streaming hockey games were not very acceptable either.

My question is:

Is my problem coming from the fact that I do not have a video card ? If I had a video card, would a streaming hockey game display better than without a card ?

I do not play any games and other than that (hockey games in streaming), I am very happy with the quality of the video on my PC. I would hate having to spend money on a video card just for a hockey game here and there. However, when I do decide that I want to watch a game, I'd like the quality to be decent at least.

So, would a video card solve my problem ?

Thank you

No. The problem is the source of the content. The servers that the content is being streamed from are probably being overloaded as things are and they cannot provide you with an HD Live Stream. You should contact your *ahem* legal content provider to find out how to get a better quality stream.
