Can Radeon R9 GPUs Run On 2 4K Monitors

I would like to upgrade my PC and change my graphics card to a radeon r9 and wanted the modern 4k monitors, can this run 2 simultaneously?

What r9 card?
If by run you mean they will display, yes.
If you plan to game, even on one, a single card wont work well.

Whatever the latest card is at the time I buy (not the extreme editions), so currently the R9 290. I may not game in 4k (probably 1080p), it's just 4k if I want to use it for something else, all I need to know is if the card's drivers support 2x 4K displays.

Games; however I will only run at 1080p at the most.

They should support 2x4k at 30FPS.
I would look into the 980, so you arent limited by HDMI 1.2

Techpowerup is down, so I cant send benchmarks, but it performs MUCH better than the 290.


I prefer Radeon because they support more displays, but I'll have a look at it. Thanks.
