Hi,

I'm interesting in buying a Seasonic PSU. I don't know if I should get the 1050 Watt or the 1250 Watt. I have a Haswell I7 and 2x Asus R9 290X DC. Do you know which one would be the better buy. There's about a 30 dollar difference between the two. Also does the lower power PSU turn on the fan sooner than a higher power PSU? Thanks.

Seasonic units are rarely the best price for the power level, they price themselves high to avoid stealing sales from XFX and others who buy from them.

Right now though, in the 1kW+ range the EVGA G2/P2 1000W are the best units out there, and somehow also the cheapest at that power level, there really isn't any competition.

I agree with the posts above. You can also find a review from JohnnyGuru that the G2 and P2 models from EVGA are one of the best PSU's that can compete with Seasonics X series. Also, I believe that G2 series from EVGA was made by Super Flower.
