Getting a antivirus

For paid AV I always recommend Trend Micro Internet Security or Maximum Security to my clients. It's not heavy on the system and I've yet to have issues with it. Plus, the renewal can be done very cheap by buying older versions and using the license code in the latest software version, as it will still be valid.

For free AV, Malwarebytes is pretty good and/or Avast.

I have had a lot of difficulties with Norton over the years so I'd be a bit shy of going there.
