Hey I will probably be removing my Biostar TH61 Mini ITX Motherboard in order to put it into a new case. I have a BitFenix Prodigy and I will be getting a Corsair Carbide Air 240. Anything I should be particulary careful of when moving a motherboard from one case to another?

just make sure you discharge yourself so no static electricity shocks the board. Other than that, you are set!

Is it possible, that the motherboard(even If I am discharged) touches the standoffs in the new case causes it to short circuit?

Objects like cases usually don't store static. At long as the motherboard is off, and you make sure you sure you are discharged you are fine. When putting it in to the new case, make sure you have the correct standoff points put into the new case. Look at the case manual to see the Mini ITX configuration or you can lay your Mobo on a piece of paper and make marks where the stand off points are supposed to go (on the paper).

There is really very little risk in doing this. You should be ready to go mate! :)
