My computer for the past week has been running on 100% usage with an unknown cause, i have completely wiped my HDD and put a fresh install of Windows 7 however the problems still continued.

I'm wondering if anyone could lend some help on the issue, is this a hardware issue? does 100% mean its on the brink of death? if anyone could help it would mean a lot. Thanks

As to SMART values i would recommend all so.This could mean that your hard drive is failing.

Ok to check the easy way here that i have found is using command prompt.

Go to Start menu in search box type CMD then open CMD.

Now while in CMD Type the following be low.

First part.
wmic
Second part.
diskdrive get status

Download and run Speccy. Under the Storage section you will be able to find the SMART values. Look at the Real Value column.

Look for any errors like uncorrectable sectors, read/write errors, reallocation count.

Well if command prompt says OK statues. Then i would say there is nothing wrong with drive.

I have a funny feeling that you might have a virus or malware or some thing else.

Do you use a secondary hard drive.
