Hi guys, thank you for checking in ^_^ :D

I've been trying to overclock the I7 4770k @ 4.4Ghz using AUTO settings through MSI Z87-G65 motherboard's BIOS. And the only thing I changed is the CPU Voltage which is now at 1.2 V. Stress tested with OCCT for over 6 hours successfully. Average temp: 70

It's seem like I made it! But THE REAL QUESTION is: is it stable to leave the rest of the settings at AUTO? Because whenever I read through overclocking guide they said to adjust CPU Ring Voltage, VCCIN Voltage.... all of this is really confusing me because all I did is changing the CPU voltage and yet made it through the stress test 3 times at 1 hour and twice at 6 hours! So... what's the deal? Sincerely looking for yours experts help  Don't want to hurt my PC in a long time run.

Here is my PC spec:
- MB: MSI Z87-G65 Gaming.
- CPU: Intel Core I7 4770k @ 4.4Ghz-1.2V.
- Ram: HyperX Fury 16Gb (2x8) 1866Mhz.
- GPU: EVGA GTX 970 SC
- HDD: 120gb Samsung SSD (OS-Primary), (2x) 2TB HDD 7200rpm.
- Cooler: H80i Corsair Liquid Cooler 120mm. PUSH/PULL
- OS: THE GLORIOUS WIN 7 :)

Softwares that I used to stress test & temp measure:
- OCCT v4.4.1
- HWiNFO64 v4.44

Thanks again for look into my thread, have a wonderful glorious day!!! :bounce:

Oh forgot that I did set the CPU Ratio Mode to Fixed Mode, CPU Core Voltage Mode to Override Mode and of course CPU Ratio to 4400. My HyperX ram automatic set at 1.5V and 1866Mhz.

Thanks for answer. So glad AUTO is alright, I was afraid if it going crazy one day and rocket something through the roof, killed my PC.

@1.2 V I originally started at 1.3V like most recommend but the temp would went 85+ and the test got cancel. I'm currently drop down to 1.190 to see what happen :)
