Hello, just built my second PC here and I am having some trouble. The computer will boot for about 2 seconds and then just shut off.

I have a :

Asus z97 Sabertooth Mark 2
I5 4690K Devils canyon CPU
Hyper 212 Plus Cooler Master
G-skill 4GB F3-10666CL9D-8GBXL
Radeon HD 5850 (Not plugged in)
750 Watt Corsair TX750W

I am pretty sure I have everything plugged in, I have replugged everything in too.
Right now I am trying to boot with just the CPU, MOTHERBOARD, RAM, And PSU.
I don't know what else to do now. I started with 1 ram stick and it still did the same exact thing.

Check the motherboard for anything shorting the motherboard to the case.

Interesting, okay well I reseated the RAM once again and it finally turns on. Now that it turns on, I am having a no display problem. Ive tried using it with integrated graphics with and HDMI since there is no VGA or the other one. I also tried putting my graphic card in and it still has the some problem. I have a speaker in the MOBO but there is also no beeps. all fans are spinning very low as well. All the lights in the mother flash red and then it stays red on the BOOT_DEVICE_LED

There is no post beep?

Have you went through through whole checklist?

Have you reset the CMOS?

Hello terry, now my speakers are making some beeps.

Right now it starts out wit the post beep. 10 seconds later it does 1 long beep then 4 short beeps. I couldn't find anything the manual that says 1 long beep with 4 short beeps. I searched the web and many people said its the CPU fan but I switched over to the intel stock fan and it still makes the same beeps. I have also switched my RAM to every slot, then i used a different ram to do the same and it produced the same beeps.

Since it supports USB BIOS flashback, update the BIOS on it. It may need a BIOS update to support that CPU

Since its a recent CPU

Core i5-4690K (3.5Ghz, 4C, L3:6M, HD Graphic, 88W, rev.C0) ALL 1008

Download / extract the latest update, copy it to a flash drive. Rename it if you have to

http://www.asus.com/nz/Motherboards/SABERTOOTH_Z97_MARK...

Put it in whatever USB port for USB BIOS flashback. Press the flashback button on the back of the mobo

what would i rename it too? it flashed for 3 seconds and just stayed solid.

UPDATE

I finished flashing it, and this time I had 1 post beep and there are no red lights on boot device LED anymore. Now its just no display. =/

UPDATE 2:

Now I moved the ram over to the suggest spot and it gives me 1 LONG beep and 4 short beeps. I tried 3 different compatible Rams as well.

Update 3: Didn't make any changes, but no there is just a post beep . No error beeps and still no post =[

Hello all ! I was finally able to boot to bios !!! What did was used an old graphics card that had VGA and it finally loaded. but now, I cannot boot windows. When I try to boot windows, it gets to the logo, and then it just restarts.

TEST THE HDD... Your disk might be the problem.
Test it with some soft for testing HDDs co we can know how it went...

I took my SSD and tested it on a separate computer and it works. Im assuming I have to reformat it for my windows to work.
