I was always able to get the sound to come through on my tv when used as a second monitor until today, I downloaded some windows updates as well as an nvidia update and now suddenly it no longer works. Before I just had the speakers option in my sounds and I just had to unplug my headphones from my pc and sound came through my tv perfectly. Now after the update I have speakers<which now show as "not plugged in">, Realtek HD Audio 2nd output<which are my headphones>, Realtek Digitial Output & Realtek Digitial Output(optical) Any ideas?

To get the audio through the HDMI adapter, you have to set that as your primary audio device in your control panel.

I don't see an option for the HDMI anywhere.

Here is a screenshot in Windows 8: http://prntscr.com/4vgocd

If you don't have the HDMI audio (I had it for 2 monitors), then you need to check your nvidia settings: http://prntscr.com/4vgozc

The Nvidia control panel will allow you to select the HDMI to the monitor, then when you click "open Windows sound settings" you will get this: http://prntscr.com/4vgpc2
