I live in a small village where there is no internet connection at all. I was told I could get a USB satellite antenna to get connected to the internet. Is this possible?

Yep.
You can get mobile broadband USB sticks that plug in and give you internet access over the mobile phone Edge/3G/4G/etc. network.

Ask your carrier about them, they can get you signed up and get you your plan, SIM and dongle.

You can also get a router that you plug your mobile broadband modem in to (which I highly recommend for things like this) and it will share it out over WiFi/Ethernet, which is way cheaper than buying and paying for three dongles.

This all depends how remote you are, and in what part of the world. If it is really a remote area, there may not be access to mobile broadband services to allow the USB dongles to work.

Satellite internet is available in the US, and if there is no other option for an ISP, it can be worth a try. They do not plug in directly via USB AFAIK.
