You have a mediocre GPU, not a very good CPU and too much RAM

What games are you playing?

Also, is your monitor connected to the GPU or Motherboard?

I would buy an Athlon 860k, an XFX550 PSU, and an r9 280x with that money. Keep everything else.

The upgrade path won't be as good as the G3258 (even with its stuttering issues). You can only upgrade to the FX 9590 (I think) while with Intel, you can upgrade to the 4790K or the 4690K for approximately the same price while getting better performance.

Why not a better CPU than the 860K for an upgrade?

because that is the best CPU his motherboard can use. And it is plenty of power for a high end GPU like the 280x.

Isn't there something like an Athlon 9xx?

I also wouldn't count on the 550 watt PSU Crossfiring two 280Xs, though.

Who said anything bout CF at all?

No the best CPU for FM2 is the Athlon 860k it is a great CPU and i might actually buy one and make a portable rig with it.

So would it be good to get a new motherboard?

No. do what I said.

Get an athlon 860k. It is a good CPU that works on your board. If you get a new board you have to reinstall Windows among other stuff.
