Around 950$.

Can you also tell me whether this laptop "Hp Pavilion 15-p077x" is good or not.

I will be running 4 to 5 Windows Servers on Virtual Machine and some gaming(not much).

It's actually weaker as the CPU is worse.

Don't bother with a dual core i7. Either get an i5 or a quad core i7. Is this something you need right away?

If OP isn't doing any editing/rendering, four cores isn't needed.

That is why I mentioned the i5. The price difference isn't worth it, getting a dual core i7.

An i7 wouldn't be used to its full potential if OP doesn't edit or render stuff either...
I would say save the money and get a i3.

I don't think you are getting my point. Mobile i7's come in dual core, with hyperthreading, and quad core, with hypertheading, flavors. The dual core i7 is a waste of money. The i3's lack turbo. The mobile i5's are also dual core, with hyperthreading. For the money, i5 is a far better cpu than the i3 or the dual core i7.

So you're saying to either get a i5 or a quad-core i7?

i have finally decided to go with Lenovo z50 70 with the following specs:

i5-4210u, 8GB RAM( Expand to 16gb), 1TB HDD, Nvidia GT 840M 4GB, Full HD display(1920x1080).

Let me know if it is right choice...

That is considerably less than the i7 version. Yes, that one would be a better buy for your money than a dual core i7 model. With your windows server/virtual machine idea though, you really should probably go with a quad i7, if at all possible. I missed that earlier.

i understand that the quad i7 will be good and it will be good for even every tasks that anyone will perform, but it costs lot of money. i checked out that i5 4210u can handle different OS's on VM very nicely

Thats why i decided to go with lenovo z50 (i5) costs around 900$ (US)
