Like described in the title I just got my headset and I am looking for a 7.1 capable sound card. My budget is around 120€ but I can wait a little but more.

I am hesitating between the:

Asus Xonar essence STX

The Creative X-Fi Titanium but this one only supports 5.1

I am open to other suggestions.

Thanks in advance !!!

The STX already has a second version. This one comes with a mini card with support to more connections. Although it has been known to be the best card for music (it performs really well on Stereo), if you wanna game only I'd think about the creative. Your phone has extremely low impedance, it's easy to drive. I'd say no matter what you get, you're going to get the best out of your cans. With Asus you'll be able to drive most audiophiles headphones that cost up to $800, give or take.

Well that was a hell of a lot faster than what I expected and I appreciate !!!

Thank you I will wait a little and are you sure it will give me virtual 7.1 with standard 3.5 jacks. I think the card comes with a 6.5 jack adapter. And I also have a 50 euro 2.1 logitech system will I be able to use it ?
