Running Raid1 with 2 identical WD10 green caviar disks, the Intel RST shows me different SATA throughputs: 6GB/sec for the disk on port 0 and 3GB/sec for the one on port 1. Is this normal? Is there any explanation for this difference?

Are they both SATA III ports?

And WD Green drives are NOT recommended for a RAID setup. At all.

Both disks are indeed connected to SATA III ports.
Yesterday, the one on port 1 was even running at 1,5GB/sec, which I had never seen before.

Possibly a bad data cable?

I interchanged the SATA cables, I mean cable from port 0 to disk 1 has gone to port 1 disk 2 and vice versa, and Sata speed on both disks is 6GB/sec now. So it seems that not the cable was the culprit but a bad contact although all worked fine for more than 2 years and the case had not been opened for half a year (cleaning).
Thanks for all answers!
