Hello there!

I have thought of an idea that would possibly be beneficial to me in my future career choice as an IT Technician.

I am thinking about selling my (Quite high end) gaming/editing rig and getting a more powerful and future-proof 5820k rig with the money I make.

I wanted your opinions on what my System would be worth.

System Specs - (Note: All parts are in fantastic condition and work flawlessly)

Intel Core i5 4670k @4.2GHz
ASUS Z97-K Socket 1150 Motherboard
ASUS Radeon 7990 @Stock
8GB Kingston HyperX Blu 1600MHz (Dual Channel)
Corsair CX750M Power Supply
Corsair H100 Water Cooler (Refurbished)
Fractal Design Define R4 Arctic White (Non-Window)
Samsung DVD/RW Burner
1x 750GB Hitachi SATA 3GB's Drive
1x 500GB WD SATA 3GB's Drive

How much do you think this system is worth? It's very clean and tidy and a lot of time was spent on choosing quality components that would last.

What do you guys think?

Thanks,
Thomas.

Solution
1) The HD7990 is "last year's model". Next gen cards are out and it probably compares well against the similarly priced GTX980, but it's also power hungry. That's why you took a hit there.
2) It's used. The moment you unpacked it and installed it, it became, "used" regardless of how long you've had it. Think of it as an enhanced restocking fee as the buyer isn't likely to immediately re-sell it.

Sorry. That's just the way it works. Of course, you may be able to find someone who's willing to pay your price, but don't be overly surprised if you don't.

Given that it's used, knock off 20%. I was generous with your graphics card, but seriously, no one is going to want that card now. Take off another 10%.

So 1150 x .70 or closer to 800GBP

Thanks for the reply,

Why would no one want the 7990? It destroys most other cards.

Also, I wouldn't consider the parts "used" - They are under 1 month old and all under warranty, so probably seller refurbished.

Thomas.
