After I changed the connection of my CPU fan from the mobo cpu header to the psu. CPU Freq now always run at 4100 mhz. Before I did this, it usually run from 2000 mhz to 4100 mhz depending on my needs.

Should I be concerned? Will there be a long-term effect on the life of my procy?

Thanks in advance!

procy: AMD A10-6800K
mobo: Gigabyte F2A75M-D3H
psu: Aerocool Strike-X 500W
cpu cooler: Deepcool Ice Edge Mini FS v2.0

Plug the CPU fan back into the motherboard, it needs that to control the speed the of the fan and get some temperature readings ect.

Also what Power Settings are you running your computer at? If it's on High Performance it will always run at max speed. There is also a custom option to set the minimum CPU speed in the advanced settings.

Actually, I plugged the CPU fan to the PSU with the intention that it will always run at max rpm, but I never thought It will affect the CPU itself.

Power Settings is at Balanced.

I thought that if I plugged the CPU Fan to the PSU, I can always run it at max rpm, while maintaining the cpu's ability to change it frequency depending on my needs.

There should actually be a BIOS setting that will let you choose what speed to run your fans at.
You can also try something like www.almico.com/speedfan.php to control them through the software as well (they have to be connected to the motherboard though.
Even that AMD Overdrive looks like it has the option to set manual fan speeds.

Right I said that, so why'd you deselect his correct answer?
