i have got asrock 990fx extreme9 but my memory is corsair vengeance pro 2800mhz. I notice board only shows up to 2400mhz on the site does that mean the 2800mhz is not compatible. I abit confused on memory speeds. my processor is amd 9590 and I cannot seem to find amd boards listing over 2400mhz my memory is this Corsair Memory Vengeance Pro Series Red 16GB 2800 MHz CAS 12-14-14-36 XMP Quad Channel Desktop
CMY16GX3M4A2800C12R - 16GB (4x4GB) Corsair DDR3 Vengeance Pro Series Red, PC3-22400 (2800), Non-ECC, CAS 12-14-14-36, AF II, XMP, 1.65V

The memory is compatible, but would run at 2400Mhz max. It'll be downclocked.

If you put 4 sticks (or quad channel sticks), they'd run in two separate dual channels, no incompatiblity there as well.

There's no MoBo currently for AMD which supports 2800MHz on stock, and there's no need for 2800MHz RAM in first place, you'd need to configure it in BIOS in ANY MoBo for it to run even on 2400MHz or else it'll run at 1866MHz. And if you already have the sticks, plug them in and configure in the BIOS the highest speeds and settings available, that's your best bet.
