I just bought this laptop (With intent of fixing it to run Win XP) and the hard drive is only seen when pressure is applied to the left of the touchpad (It needs a lot of pressure), is there any way to just get the HDD to work without hurting my hands?

EDIT: corrected title

Might be some kind of connection issue? And I think you meant a Latitude D610. Never head of a D160. Pretty sure it always uses a SATA Drive and a hard drive caddy. I think the Daughter board that the Hard Drive plugs into might have a connection to the main motherboard right there (May be thinking of the PCMIA Card slot though). But sounds like a possible loose or lost screw as well.

Thanks, I'll look into that as soon as I can

UPDATE: I've checked under the connector and fond that it may be some prongs that had been bent too far down, after some testing, it wasn't the issue (Which has really boggled my mind)
