Hi,

I dont know what happened but the cpu fan was starting to whine, all the time even though
the temperature of the cpu is around 30~40 C, and all other components are having the
same temperatures. I tried controlling the speed of it but cannot find an option anywhere,
even in speedfan. It gave an error like this :

WARNING: bad Winbond($5CA3,$C1) identify (W83627DHG-P,W83667HG)
W83627DHG-P (ID=$C1) found (using SuperIO) on ISA at $A10

And I've also checked the BIOS for fan control, in hardware monitoring section it says NOT PRESENT , could this be a fault in BIOS chip, if so what should I do?

Thanks.

Your CPU might not have fan control installed. Every temperature beneath 80 degrees is fine just take not of that.

Maybe it's starting to give up and needs to be replaced?
How old is the cooler/fan?
