Ok so I will start with the specs:
amd fx 4300 (4.2ghz and stock fan)
Motherboard: gigabyte lmt usb 3
PSU: corsair mx500m
GPU: twin force turbo r9 270
OK so my PC is turning of randomly. I bought it about a year ago and haven't changed a thing and the issues started last week.
When I am using it for web browsing after an hour it turns off. If I attempt to play a game it turns off after 3 minutes! It is so frustrating. It gives no warning it just stops, black-screen and then powers off. What could be the issue and how could I resolve it? Please help.

Firstly, make sure nothing's overheating.

Could be your psu. If possible, test with a different psu.

I had a similar/same problem.
For me it was a bad gpu.
Try running Heaven 4.0, if gpu is the culprit your pc should turn off immediately.

OK so I ran heaven 4.0 and it seemed to run fine. What should I do? My PSU is very new and the issues only started last week. How do i know it is overheating?

Use hwinfo to monitor temps.

How long did you ran heaven?

post a scrnshot of hwinfo here, showing the +12v reading.

If your cpu temps are in control, then the PSU is a likely suspect; just because you replaced it 'x' amount of weeks/months/days ago, does not mean it is not bad....
