I have read many posts about this and nothing seems to work. I unhooked 1 drive, uninstalled the AMD AHCI RAID controller driver, reboot, change the bios to AHCI and it almost boots but not. If I change the bios to IDE says "no OS found." So right now it works with 1 drive but only with the RAID driver. I know I'm close but need more smarts than I have. Thanks!

My mobo is: MSI 890FXA-GD65

Usually when you run a RAID 1 all you need to do is just disable the RAID settings in the BIOS and it should boot just fine. Usually no need to uninstall or change drivers. Its away when going UP you need to change drivers. IDE --> AHCI --> RAID. I've never had to go the other way (Well with RAID 1 that is). Can also try putting it on a different SATA port that never had RAID turned on with to begin with.

I read your reply dr and thought... Why didn't I think of that? Then I tried it and "no bootable drive" came up. Not until I put everything back the way I had it did it repair itself and boot again. I'm still in RAID mode. Thanks for trying though.

Hmmm Odd. I've taken RAID Drives before and just turned off RAID in BIOS as well.

Now does it detect the drive in BIOS? If you have a Windows Disk maybe do a System Repair? Also one program i have found to help me out is Marcirum Reflect. Its meant for Cloning but if you make a Bootable CD/USB Drive and boot from it, they have a startup Repair option that I have found to work great for me and save me from a few reinstalls as well that System Repair couldn't fix too.
