I need to replace My CPU stock cooler, I am thinking of getting a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, which has a height of 159 mm <about 6.25 in>, since this seems to be one of the Best CPU Coolers.
But I have a Rosewill CHALLENGER-U3 Mid Tower Computer Case, it is 7.48" wide, - I measured 6.5 in from the Motherboard to the Edge of the Case, so I am not sure if it will fit.
If it does not fit then what would be the Best option? - I have already decided not to get any of the Liquid CPU Coolers, both because of the Price and the Chance of Leaks.

More about : thinking cooler master hyper 212 evo fit

very doubtfull. as well as a VERY tight fit. the case is 185mm wide and the evo is 160...

that leaves you with about 26mm for cable space, motherboard tray, standoffs, CPU....

S4STINDUBZ; I looked at some other cases, My Problem is that the Case must fit into an opening that is only 19 inches tall and I would like about one inch clearance, this case is about 18.5 inches high. None of the cases I have been looking at, that will fit is better than this one. as for the cables and things that is not a problem with this case, as the cables run behind the Motherboard and there is about a 6.5 inches from the Motherboard to edge of the Case.

My Budget is a little tight but I start a new job at the end of this month, so i am looking to get this next month.

The XIGMATEK LOKI SD963 92mm is not available right now
The Cooler Master Hyper T4 looks okay, but it does not have a lot of reviews [a minor thing]

I have also looked at a few other 92mm CPU Coolers
The ARCTIC Freezer 7 Pro Rev. 2 looks good
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

The Cooler Master Hyper D92 also looks good, tho it is a little higher priced and has no reviews as yet
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

The Cooler Master Hyper N520 - is the older version of the Hyper D92, for a little less
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Cooler Master Hyper TX3, is only about $15, with some good reviews
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

But I am not sure which of the 92mm CPU Coolers would be the best and if they would be as good as a 120mm CPU Cooler.
I have also looked at some that have Fan blowing towards the Motherboard.

Take a look at the Noctua NH-L9i. It is a great CPU cooler and it should be completely silent or very close to it. It is also quite low profile (height wise) and should do a good job cooling.

That design of course, comes with a lower cooling performance. out of those 3 above^ id go with the freezer 7.

Realistically, when it comes to >60$ air heat sinks. the 212 EVO is the best and not awhole lot compares. the freezer 7 is sadly no exception. it is just the most compact, quality performance cooler out of the 3 you gave. the NH-L12 is going to be the best, and the most silent out of the "low profile" heat sinks, however the freezer pro seems to be the best option for your situation overall.

I just read a Review on the Cooler Master Hyper TX3 it comes in at 38 degrees and the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO comes in at 35 degrees, which only beats it by 3 degrees, I am still trying to find how the ARCTIC Freezer 7 Pro Rev. 2 compares to those two.
I know that the ARCTIC Freezer 7 Pro Rev. 2 [127 mm tall] and the Cooler Master Hyper TX3 [139 mm tall] will both fit my case and the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO might not fit.

im not sure what you mean by that temp difference.... the temp depends on what the cpu is being used for, the case, the cpu, the fan, the airflow.... you certainly cant nail it down to a specific personal number(s). the freezer 7 seems to be the best for your situation (aslo has the most features), possibly not the best performing.

S4STINDUBZ, The Temp difference I gave were just what was in the Review and I mainly see it as showing that the difference might be small between them.

.....depending on the CPU of course for say an Amd athlon ll, both heat sinks might do just fine/ very similar temps however for my FX8320 oc'd to 4.5 ghz, the EVO 212 keeps it at 30-35c on full load, where as the TX3 would get eaten up and my house would burn down.

Buy it and try it! If it doesn't work, return it!

I will admit that I would like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, as it does seem to be the Best -
Does it matter if the pipe on the top of the Heatsink is pressing against the side of the Case?

no that would not matter. i had that happen in my old case, no performance issue
