I'm on a tight budget so i want the best value for money choice. Should i go with Asrock h97 pro 4+Intel i5 4590 or Asrock 990fx+amd fx6300 (with upgrade to 8350 in the future) ? Also, does asrock h97m pro 4 support crossfire? Because i think the second slot for gpu doesn't perform x16 when crossfiring. Please HELP!

those chipset ''partially'' support crossfire, that's it...not SLI...and they support crossfire at 4x speed only...so it's not suitable unless you go with two low end AMD GPU...so overall NO they don,t support multi-GPU.

For SLI you need two X8 slots otherwise it won't work at all and same goes for high-end AMD GPU they will work at 4x speed but you will loose a lot of the performance because of bandwith limitation.

So if you aim for anything more than say R9 270 crossfire, you need a Z87/Z97 board...and if your intention is two go with crossfire of such gpu's then think again there's a ton of better options out there!

I want a mobo with 2 slot x16, i thought about z97 but someone told me that it's wrong to put locked cpu like 4590 in z97. Can you suggest me a mobo with 2x pcie x16 for crossfire (i want to put r9 280) around 110 euro for i5 4590? Or Is it better for to go with 990fx and fx6300?

That board does not support XFire or SLI, it has only 1 PCIe 3.0 slot

hope this helps.

My mistake, i meant Asrock h97M pro 4 this one http:// does it supports crossfire? If not should i consider this? http://

Yes both of them do XFire, yet not so good as MrBrigs has pointed out and I agree with him the ASUS is the better choice of the 2. If you want to XFire or SLI then you really need 2 PCIex16 slots, not just one 3.0 slot and a PCH that will do it also, hence the Z97.

It's fine to put a 4590 on a Z97 MB, not a problem at all, this board would do either just fine,,,,

If you could afford this one it would be my recommendation for a very good MB that should last a great while for a good price
