Hi all,

I recently had built a new PC to replace my 5 year old Acer desktop PC. I only had the old Acer desktop PC out of use for just over 2 weeks and I was going to format it today to give to my family for use.

However when I go to power it on, the PC itself powers up; the blue power LED comes on, the fans spin and the beep shows the PC is alive. BUT there is no display on the monitor. I have tried DVI and HDMI through the GPU (I know the monitor and cables work as I use the HDMI for my PS4 and the DVI for my new PC without issues) I even tried via VGA through the motherboard but still no visual on display.

I then tried opening the desktop and reseating the cables to see if any have come loose but the problem is still persisting.

Is there a way to fix this PC without purchasing new components?

Try booting with just 1 stick of ram. If there's just 1 stick, then remove it, clean the slot & re seat it or try different slot.

Thank you, sometimes the simplest answers are the best. There was dirt in one of my RAM sticks. How it got there in 2 weeks I will never know.
