^this is my build so far. So i am still unsure weather to overclock or not, hense the reason why i have not chosen a motherboard yet, please tell me if it is a good idea or not. if you could suggest a mother board around the £60 mark that would be great. preferably red :-)

if i choose against overclocking this is the motherboard i am planning to go with: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/biostar-motherboard-ta9... is it any good?

More about : overclock overclock

It depends on what you're trying to do but if I was you I would not rather to overclock as I only prefer overclocking with high-end parts.

I'd go with this mobo instead:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

Motherboard: Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard (£68.98 @ Amazon UK)
Total: £68.98
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

There's no point in going AMD with a budget like this without overclocking. I'd definitely do it.

Everything else looks good!

EDIT: Meant a different mobo, fixed.

for most games you wont need to oc especially if your game is using mantle.
but for things like video encoding over clocking can give a substantial boost.
should you oc? it depends what your gonna do with it but not on that biostar board.
if your going to oc you want a board that can handle the increased load.
the biostar boards generally cant due to scrimping on parts to produce cheap boards.
something for maybe 10-15 more from asus, asrock or gigabyte would be a better option.

Only option if you do not like Blue http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-970gami...
The EVO version of the Asus board and the Gigabyte UD3P as well the MSI have better power phase design than the M5A97 rev2.0 for OC
