Hey guys I was looking at my new graphics card and I saw it needs a 6-pin connector and im not sure how much power that will use on my computer, as of right now my power supply is (not sure, im new to the whole upgrading thing)2.86 or something like that, and I was wondering is I would have enough power to hold my new graphics card?

pci-e + 6pin = upto150watts. in addition to the standard 75 given by the pci-e slot the 6 pin will add up to another 75w

so it will depend on the overall power requirement for the card as to what extra volts the 6pin will provide.

A 6-pin pci-e power connector provides 75w, the 8-pin provides 150w, the 16x pci-e port itself can provide 75w. It would be best to know what video card you want to use and the make and model of your current power supply and the rest of the systems specs.
