Can the Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard support the ASUS strix 970?
Also can the motherboard support a AMD fx-8350? Will the CPU bottleneck the 970?
Also what is a 750 watt or around that area power supply that is cheaper but will support both the 970 and fx-8350?

Thanks for your help.

yes, that motherboard can run the 970
running at stock, the 8350 will definitely be a bit of a bottleneck for that card, get it up around 4.8ghz and it's a different story; unfortunately i would NEVER advise anyone to overclock an 8 core fx on that motherboard. that motherboard definitely is not for overclocking; frankly i'm not sure i'd advise anyone to put an 8 core fx into that motherboard in the first place. you might run into thermal throttling at stock settings with that board... and can run the risk of damaging the motherboard.

the non-LE version of that board is a nice compromise, and only costs a few dollars more. it will support an overclock and will run a 8 core fx just fine (M5A97 R2.0)

don't ever buy a cheap psu. if...

don't ever buy a cheap psu. if it dies on you it can start a fire in your house, blow up your gpu/cpu/mb/hard drive... frankly nothing good comes of going cheap on the psu. here, https://community.newegg.com/eggxpert/computer_hardware/f/135081/t/45344.aspx?Redirected=true i wouldn't buy anything under tier II on that list.
