First Time Computer Build Could Use Some Advice (Under $1,500)

Hello everyone!

I could use some advice on my build for my future PC. I am very excited because I finally have the opportunity to build, but I have no experience in the process. I would really appreciate it if someone could take a look at my build and let me know if it looks okay. I have been watching tutorial videos and I have been asking my friends for advice, but before I buy my parts I want to make sure I'm not overlooking anything. I want my build to cost less than $1,500 and I think I have an okay setup right now. I am not interested in overclocking my computer. I would like to be able to play most games at high settings and have the ability to use CAD software. Dual monitors would be cool in the future, but I only plan on using one for the moment. I'm open to suggestions if anyone thinks I should swap out parts for something better. The main thing is I cannot go over $1,500. Let me know what you think!

This looks great. You could drop to an i5 4440 and see no performance loss and also drop the cooler to save some money.

Also if he plans to sli I would get a Z97 motherboard which can support sli. A 750W PSU would work for 970 sli.

If he plans to use a single card and upgrade later, he could stick with the H97 and get a 550W PSU.

Simple.
Loud when gaming(I have experience with AMD's stock cooler,it's so loud). I also leave games to download over night,but it's sorta hard to fall asleep.
I know it get's the job done and I could probably use it before I could get a af cooler,but you know...

Intel's stock cooler for the i5 is completely different from AMD's FX coolers. Not sure which AMD CPU you have, but each cooler varies depending on the generation of the cpu.

The stock cooler that comes with the i5 is quiet and should keep the cpu within operating temps.

The thing is your cooler is different compared to the stock coolers for haswell, so you really can't compare the two.

I really like your build since it includes the new GeForce 970. Other than the upgraded video card could you tell me how else the build differs from what I've already created? I'm still learning about the different brands/parts.
