I am running this setup
Intel I5 3570k 3.4GHz
EVGA Geforce GTX 660TI FTW Signature 2
8GB RAM
7200rpm seagate hard drive
Seasonic 620W PSU
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

My question is, will disabling the integrated graphics on my CPU benefit me in any way? My monitor is hooked up to my video card and in msinfo32 I noticed my CPU graphics is still listed as if its running.

If your monitor is connected to your graphics card, then the integrated graphics shouldn't really have any effect. I guess if you wanted to relieve the stress of the CPU and get lower temperatures, then you could disable it to remove any necessary use. I would advice disabling the drivers firstly, through the device manager. There may be some option for it in your Bios, or maybe even if you update your graphics card driver, it will prioritise graphics controllers and disable the integrated ones?

Nope. I've had this rig for 2 years now and no drivers updates prioritized the graphics controllers thus far. I just disabled the drivers and nothing really changed. I always figured it should be automatically disabled when the graphics card is installed.

I know I can do that. I was just wondering if it makes any difference to anything.
