Hello everyone!

I want to buy a GPU and i am between the ASUS STRIX-GTX970-DC2OC-4GD5 and the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 Gaming 4GB GDDR5 but they are very expensive! :(

I want a new GPU to play current and future games but first i want to know if i buy a GTX 770 which is cheaper, i will be able to play the current (new) and the future games?

P.S. Which one of the above cards do you prefer?

I think you should go with the Twin Frozr gtx 970 or the asus strix one. They are a lot better againist gtx 770 as they can be powerful as a gtx 780! I believe you should spend some more bucks and go with the gtx 970.

+1 on getting a gtx 970. I have no real opinions on which 970 you get though as I haven't been looking into that much. In addition to being a whole lot faster than a 770, the 970 also has twice the vram (4GB) and new technologies like MFAA which gives you equal visuals to MSAA with half the gpu load. Mind you MFAA is not available yet, but you asked about future proofing and things like that will definitely help in that regard. Good luck on your decision!
