Hi, I'm looking to put a GPU in my current computer.

I've been looking at the HD 7750, but that just sold out on Newegg. Now, I'm looking at the GTX 650. I'd like to know if that is a good choice or if I should get something else.

Specs:
Acer Aspire AM3470G-UW10P
AMD A6-3620 2.2GHz Quad-Core CPU
Integrated Radeon HD 6530D 1GB
4GB RAM
500GB HDD
300w PSU

That is a good choice for that PC but how about gtx 750? It is more futureproof, not a lot but still more futureproof and will get you that high fps.

I'm not sure if that'll run on my PSU.

The cards you're planning to get won't to so be more futureproof again and get a 500w or 400w PSU?

Your peak wattage will be like 240-250 without overclocking, you'll be fine even with a stock OEM power supply

It wouldn't struggle but still can crash sometimes.

If I wanted to add another HDD or more RAM later, would I be okay with that too? I'm not sure how much wattage that kinda stuff needs.

Just go with a 400w. It will be the best for future..

It really all depends on the kind of amperage he gets on his 12v rail. He'd have to open the case and give us a read, but otherwise he's fine even with the stock psu. Overall tdp for the system would be like 210W, give 20 or so for peak headroom. Add another say 500GB HDD and it only gives him about another 10-15W

And to address initial concern, the 750 non ti has a TDP of 55W as opposed to the 650's 62-63W. For a power conscious build it's obviously the favorite

This is what I'm working with.

Yeah, actually both those rails have pretty low amperage lol. An upgrade in psu would definitely suffice. I wouldn't go overboard at this time though, when you have no future upgrade plans in mind.
