amd radeon hd 5800 crossfire compatible with amd radeon hd 5770

I've been using the and radeon 5800 for a while and my dad had just upgraded his graphics card to something better and now we have a spare 5770 and i was wondering if i could crossfire the two. thanks!

No. The HD5770 can only be Crossfire configured with the following cards: HD6770, HD6750, HD5770, or HD5750. The HD5800 series cards can only be Crossfire Configured with other cards of the HD5800 series or the HD5970.

@ i7Baby - That seems to fly directly in the face of what AMD provided.
@ Endangeredseachicken - Given this site's information, my only recommendation is to try it (assuming your motherboard is Crossfire Compatible and you have a powerful enough power supply).
