Whenever I use the Boot Camp Assistant to create a "Windows 7 or later" partition, it creates a FAT32 partition, then restarts the computer in the Boot Camp USB drive. When Windows boots up from the USB, it says that it can't install Windows on the new partition because it isn't in NTFS. Why is this?

No Windows 7 will not install to a FAT32 partition, it requires NTFS.

But not to worry. Look at your Boot Camp manual -- it gives specific directions. You have to select the Advanced Options button on the page where you select the install location and that has an option to convert the file system under Format.

There is no "Advanced Options" button.

Look at your manual for your particular install -- you can find them in pdf on the Apple site. I no longer use it so I don't have the page number for you but the option is available somewhere during the early install process.
