Hello I have a question about Wired Modems and Wireless Routers. I currently have verizon fios set up with there motorolla modem/wireless router. In attempt to ditch this monthly payment set up I went out and bought the Netgear Nighthawk AC1900. the only problem is the hard wire does not connect to it so I still running though the provided modem/wireless set up to my newly bought Nighthawk. So I know I need to just buy a wired modem to element it but are all wired modems the same or do I need to buy a specific one to keep the fast speed that my router outputs.
