Hi there,

I just finished my new build last weekend but got a frustrating problem every time I reboot my PC. The PC works fine each time I turn on the PC. I can see ROG boot screen before login into Windows. I can also type del or F2 to enter ROG BIOS. And after login, windows works fine as well.
However each time I restart from Windows or press the reboot button on the PC front panel, it fails everytime to boot. No ROG boot screen, and you can't enter into BIOS. Always black screen with a blinked cursor. The Qcode always stucks at AE and windows can't be loaded. But if I turn off the PC and turn it back on, the PC works again.

I have been updating all drivers and checking the connections but the problem still exists.
Any idea what went wrong? Much appreciated!

BIOS upgrade to 802 solved my problems too.

I have no idea about the QCode (haven't got my cabinet open), but at reboot (not full shutdown/restart), one of two things would happen:

1) I'd enter UEFI BIOS. I'd have to shut down PC entirely and power on again to be able to boot.
2) ROG logo would appear, then black screen with blinking flat cursor at top left (char pos 0,0 in a 80x25 display). Cursor would then appear at approx char pos 10,6 for a few seconds, then back to 0,0 for a few seconds, then back to 10,6 and stuck there. Full power down to fix problem.

I have a similar problem with my Rampage V Extreme. I also have the Intel i7 5960X. My system is brand-new, just out-of-the-box. When I not been able to get past Q Code 76.

I went to the Asus downloads for my board and in a BIOS Flash update useing the "Intel 5th Gen" dated 04-26-2015. Can give any ideas.
