Have Modern Warfare 3, only play SP or 2 person Survival. I do NOT PLAY MP, so most of the "fixes" do not apply to me. Have Win7/32, 4gig ram, 3.0 Q core Intel, SLI 560Ti cards, and use IObit Game Booster 3, which stops background pgms from sucking ram and proc. While playing Arkaden hard, at about level 25-30, the game crashes, saying "Reliable Command Buffer Overflow", and it is still in the game background, but the other player is kicked and we are both no longer connected in a game. Have read what a buffer is and does; the game just quits when it gets "overflowed". Now for the question: Without offering well-meaning but obviously incorrect opinions, Is there a way to change some settings in a .cfg file or other, to make the game allocate more ram for it's own use, so it doesn't break any protocols? Can someone explain what is actually happening, and how to fix it? I am an electronics tech; mechanic, and gamer. Problem is that there are too many redundant: "Dude, like you gotta like jump in a window here". I want only truth if there is any. It's mind-numbing how much hogwash is out there, and how difficult it is to contact either Steam or the Game Makers for this issue-- Thanks in advance for the help! Scott.
