Weird crashing display, what is this?

I've been having some real problems lately. Unnecessarily high CPU usage, BSODs, content ceasing to download halfway through the process...

And now this.

10i8413.jpg

What the hell is this... It seems to happen whenever I try to do something internet related (Reinstalling the wireless card driver and more recently simply loading a web page).

I'm on safe mode now as the first two attempts at navigating here were fouled up by whatever is happening here. I've updated all my critical drivers such as the MoBo, Wireless card, and integrated graphics but according the the bluescreen I get only when browsing Imgur (0x0000003b, yes I have tried the 'hotfix' but it is apparently 'incompatible with the system') it may have something to do with drivers elsewhere.

I don't know if this would be any help locate the problem but CPU usage is extraordinarily high on startup, 100% for a few minutes, and 'svchost' stays at about 50% for that time. I've run avast in normal mode, safe mode, and boot time all on a full system scan and have turned up nothing relevant. It all started after a torrent session bluescreened before the zip finished downloading. It had not been touched, much less unziped THEN opened THEN run.

Anyone with knowledge of my situation?

UPDATE

Upon stumbling around the case I found a lose power cable to the hard drive. I plugged it in back nice and snugg. After doing so I re-connected EVERY installable object in the case short of the CPU itself (Memory, SATA cables, power cables, fans). It seems to have solved the issue. If I make it to tomorrow without a crash I will let everyone know.

UPDATE #2

It would seem that whatever I have done with the cables and RAM has worked, something appears to have been loose and disconnecting or shorting at times. So leg-bouncers beware, check your connections, all of em.

Solution
I've seen this before...
I think there is a faulty capacitor.
Open the PC and scan the motherboard's capacitors.

If any of them (on the top) are swollen, you've found your problem, replacement of the faulty capacitor will fix it.

Edit:
something I forgot to say about how I got to this conclusion:
I've seen several PC's display go like that, and all of them had swollen capacitors, I'm not really sure whether the correct term is "swollen" but w/e
It probably still hasn't gone completely bad, otherwise, you'll be seeing that display most of the time.

This is the only reason why I think this is a faulty capacitor.
You can use google to find pictures of faulty capacitors, and see how they appear to make a comparison with your pc.

Good suggestion for the record, but no. There's only about 30 of them on the entire board and none of them appear to be leaking or bulging. They're all a new type consisting of what appears to be aluminum with printed ink on the top kind of resembling small caliber bullet casings.

This screen only occurs when I'm attempting to load a web page or new window and I suspect any hardware faults would not allow me to use the computer so freely until I did something in chrome or other window. EVERYTHING works fine in safe mode, pretty much all the computers problems go away there. Downloads are fast and continuous, web pages load instantly, CPU usage is kept between 0% and 1% when idle...

Anyway, thanks for the tip.

Yeah, I just saw the picture without completely reading the rest :) once I saw it, it clicked "Hey I've seen this so many times...." but moving on..

It would be good to provide more details like:
PC specs
things you've installed before this started happening
model of your wireless NIC etc

so more people could jump in the discussion to find the cause of this, it would be troublesome if you keep replying on these type of questions one by one, so it's best to have it all in one place, easy to read and on top of the page.

You said this happens when loading a web page, have you tried different browsers?
Have you tried wiring your PC instead of using the wireless NIC, and surf the web that way?
Also, I can't really tell from the picture, 'tis a laptop or desktop?

I had tried internet explorer and using a wired connection, in the process of which it crashed...

BUT, based on your input I may have found the solution. In the process of checking the capacitors with the case open I had accidentally knocked the power cable out of the hard drive (during shut down and unplugged of course). It came out rather easily, so I decided to check EVERYTHING that plugged in. I reversed the ram, reinserted the wireless card, unplugged and replugged every power cable everywhere, and finally did the same with all the info/SATA cables and fans. Pretty much everything short of the processor.

Started up fine, been on for an hour now browsing Imgur (usually the source of both the BSOD and monitor crash) and nothing yet.

IF I can get through the night without the other crash I will post such as the solution.
