Is the GTX 760 enough for games coming out in the next year?

I'll be building a gaming PC in a couple of weeks, and I'd rather not spend money on a GTX 770 this time around. However, in about a year, I will be able to upgrade my graphics card to something potentially even better than the 770. My question is, until then (probably next August), will my 760 be able to run demanding upcoming and current games (Far Cry 4, Battlefront, Heavily Modded Skyrim, AC Unity), at 1080p and Ultra settings? Any help is appreciated.

1080p ultra in 1 year from now games will probably give you 30FPS.

Probably not, you'll see reduced frame rates from a single 760. If budget allowed, you'd want to look into at least a 280X if not(and preferably) a GTX 970. Of which would provide you with more than the kind of experience you're hoping for.

Yes, if you're looking to upgrade then, it's kind of silly to buy a new card right now. You might not be able to do 1080p, ultra, at 60 fps continuously, but it's a far more sensible idea than buying a 970, much less a 770 for far less performance for just $30 less.

TY for fast response. I think I should have probably been more specific. Will I get consistent 30 FPS for games during the next year?

Yes, at 1080p you'll see 30FPS and above on AAA titles this year. Varying per game of course, and processor willing

More than likely, yes.

(I personally would much rather run at high or very high and see 45-60fps, but either way is an option.)
