Ok, so hopefully I can get some input from PC gamers who have experience with the Dolphin emulator for Wii. As a disclaimer I absolutely own all the games and backed up ISO and ROM files I will end up using as well as two Wii consoles. My goal is to run the Dolphin emulator on an HDTV adding it to a HTPC setup.

The HDTV in question is a set I purchased a few years ago but that I think looks really great in my living room and it is a Panasonic 50" plasma with 720p resolution and a listed 600Hz (I always wondered if this meant I can get more than 60fps but that doesn't matter much for the purpose of this thread.) So my question is with this rig, for those with emulator experience, will I be able to run Dolphin at 720p with the highest quality settings? Meaning without experiencing slower gameplay than I would if I played them on the console itself? I do not want it to look any worse than it would on the Wii.

My rig is as follows but I have extra parts if I need to swap a better part in;
Intel i3-2120 @ 3.30Ghz 3m cache (can use my i7 instead),
Gigabyte B75 MB,
GTX 650 Ti Boost 2Gb can put in Radeon 7850 or GTX 780 from my SLI setup),
4Gb RAM @ 1600Mhz (can put another 4GB in but 2GB should be adequate enough),
Windows 8.1 Pro (can easily run Windows 7 if I need to),
120Gb 5400rpm HDD (can swap in 1TB 7200rpm HDD),
CX430 Corsair PSU (can swap in TX750).

I also have a gaming PC that is much better than this setup (3770k, SLI GTX 780, 16GB RAM, RAID SSD's, etc) but I wanted to see if at 720p especially, this rig would not only serve as a good HTPC but also run emulators for the Wii and perhaps other systems (N64, PS1/2, SNES, Genesis).

If anyone has run Dolphin off similar specs please let me know your experience. If you have used Dolphin on different hardware feel free too comment too. I have seen on other forums people use this setup or very close (i3 and mid level GPU) and they say it will run well at 1080p which leads me to believe 720p will be an even better match but before I invest hours into trying to make it work and possibly having to swap in other hardware I wanted to see if the Toms community had any input. Thank you to all who reply.
