CPU idling at 65c max temp, am I fine to use it until I get my CPU Cooler I ordered?

Solution
If it goes past 80C its the time to really start worrying, especially if its there for several minutes. 65C is not a good temp especially for being at idle, but its not high enough that it will cause damage or negative side effects really.
Bios temps aren't really the best way to check. On some motherbaords the CPU is ran at its complete full speed on all cores while in BIOS which gives it high heat output. Sometimes the CPU fans with some boards will rev up to max speed, and some times they don't.

Do avoid those sorts of issues and inconsistencies its best to take the temp with something like openhardware monitor as it gives accurate temperature read outs, and can see the actually CPU usage at the same time.

Regardless, if you are getting between 40 and 65 C at idle, that is a bit high but so long as you don't give it a hard work load that causes it to use 100% usage for more than a short moment, you shouldn't have an issue using the computer while you wait for the new fan to arrive.

Thanks so it won't do any damage? I'm going to keep checking the temps. Is there any temperature I should make sure to look out for?

I'd set a temp alarm in BIOS for around 85c.

Then run a game or bench. If it gets to this temp quickly, then that 65c idle temp is probably legitimate. In which case I wouldn't be gaming on it until your cooler arrives.
