Problem: My computer crashes when I start playing a game, but it's weird about it. Sometimes it won't crash for weeks, and some days it crashes every time I try to play. The only error that comes up is kernal.power.

Attempted resolutions: I changed out my PSU first off. I reformatted windows 8. Cleaned off everything (not overheating). Drivers up to date.

It did it every once in a while when I first got it, but it's a lot worse now.

Well as I say to everyone try lifting the case a tiny bit above the floor. I do it with bits of wood under the feet. Why? even if the computer has good tempratures, I have had the psu overheat and shutdown. Certainly, kernal.power. suggests that the psu decided to switch off.

I actually found out I lost a leg of power goin to my cpu heat-sink so that fan wouldn't run, and it overheated. I didn't even notice it when I first went through it. I'm installing a new heat sink and fan tonight so I'll post back if that took care of everything
