2nd GPU is much like when CPU's went from single to dual core.

I know in practise GPU's already have multiple cores, but the performance boost of two in crossfire/SLI is roughly double that of a single card.

or something that isn't MSI. I haven't seen too much on brands other than I'm not a fan of ASUS anymore after spending so long on hold with their CS a few times.

Spend more on GPU than on the case and keyboard if you want to call it high end gaming.

IMHO Superhigh-end gaming should be more like dual 970's and a 4K display, 3 x 1080P, or 2 x 1440P.

Save $100 each from the motherboard, case, and keyboard - use it to get a second 970. Though you might need to add some $ for a bigger PSU if OC-ing the CPU and dual GPU.

A single 970 will do you fine for very high/ultra @ 1080P.

Price isn't everything. There are good quality motherboards available for less, though will remove a few features. I personally do not like ASUS as their support is awful as you have to dial a non-toll free US number from Canada and expect to spend an hour on hold if you need an RMA.

I was only trying to make suggestions that would keep your budget in place and get some what closer to what I would consider to be superhigh end gaming. I didn't say you couldn't buy a gaming keyboard, I meant it more that you could buy the PC now at current budget and add a better keyboard in later.
