Hi. I have windows 7 on pc and basically wanting to see if I can have the desktop on the pc monitor and when loading a game it shows only on projector screen leaving pc monitor as the windows display? I don't want 2x 1080p displays running when I will only be looking at 1, when using projector.

Ideally being able to have this set up in a way of profiles would be good if possible at all? Like profile 1 for normal gaming on pc monitor for when playing 3d games and profile 2 for gaming on projector only.

is any of this possible?

So far I have managed to have it so both screens display a 1080p image by setting screen resolution settings as multiple displays.

Thanks

I'm not quite sure as to what you are asking, but as for having different "profiles" for displaying games, you would have to change your display settings every time you wanted to switch which screen the game is displayed on.

it seems windows key + p is the only quick way to change monitor display. A side question, if you were playing games set at 144hz on one monitor does this need to be changed to 60hz when displaying on 2 monitors ? I seem to have to do this to stop any picture distortion. Thanks

If both displays support 144Hz, I don't see why you would have to select 60Hz.

It's ok. It's due to projector being on hdmi which is limited to 60hz I think. thought the v1.4 hdmi was good for 120hz max. Will have to have another play with some settings later on today.

As for my main question I basically meant I didn't need or see any point in the gpu running 2x 1080p displays when I would only be looking at the one if using projector. That's what I was after, like a quick alternative to flick between projector or pc monitor on windows.

is there a option to change which display is no 1 and no 2 as they are the wrong way around as well?

thanks
