i volunteered to repair a kindle fire for a friend of mine that had the fbi virus, or a version of it. Well i have been trying to find a way to do a factory reset but the ways described to do it say try holding the volume buttons at the same time (but there are none). the only button on it is the power button and holding it only turns it on or off. does anyone have any advice as to how i go about fixing this thing. any help would be greatly appreciated. ty.

He has the second gen model then not the older one that has the volume buttons.
