My specifications are in my signature below. I have seen many videos and forums saying that the i5-4690 is pretty much overkill if considering to use it just for Skyrim so i know my CPU is good and every forum and YouTube video have shown the R9-280 plying Real Vision ENB and other more powerful Graphics mods on skyrim at 50-70FPS, i just want to hear others opinions on how yall think my setup will perform doing this? My friend has an R9-270 and play Skyrim Real VisionENB at 20FPS-30FPS, sometimes has lag bombs to 15FPS but not a lot so it is at least playable forhim

P.S.
I just built this PC for Skyrim mainly bu also to play modern games on High/Ultra settings at least at 30+FPS.

Solution
installing mods that are not bashed, tagged, cleaned, and ordered is a recipe for disaster in skyrim.

my old 7950(r9-280) worked extremely well with skyrim running about 80 texture/mesh mods and an enb all at 1440p. 1080p will obviously have better performance.

you should pick tried and true mod packs that are known to be pain free from trusted places on nexus. otherwise, just randomly adding mods as you please and turning them off as you please will definitely break the game.

the r9-280 and gtx670 are roughly equal in performance with the 670 being slightly faster. the gtx670 hasn't been for sale in well over a year and the price you see for it is a way overblown because stock is limited.

Give it a try, it should be playable.

Here are the minimum requirements for RealVision ENB according to the mod page:
Intel Core i5 3 ghz
Nvidia GTX 670 2gb
8gb of ram
(Or similar from AMD)

Hope I helped :)

Is an MSI R9-280 better than a GTX670? Because the GTX 670 coast around $1,000 everywherei look lol, idk why.

Here's a video of someone playing skyrim with an ENB using an R9 280x: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VubKyA9pug

The R9 280 and the R9 280x are both very similar cards so running Skyrim with an ENB should be no problem for you :)

I thought the GTX 760 was with the R9-280? I know the R9-280 beats the GTX760 in ever way and even comes close to beating the GTX770 almost. And thanks for the info mani could not find itanywhere :) I just want to download This modor maybe a better UNB. I just want my Skyrim to be better than my PS3 8FPS skyrim from my HUUUUUUUUUGE save haha
