keyboard worked fine till child played game on it. I assume he hitafunction key but not sure which

What model is the laptop?
Did the entire keyboard stop working or the numbers pad only?

If it's the entire keyboard, I find it hard to belive that there are fn keys that disable the entire keyboard, in which case either the keyboards cable is loose, or the keyboard just went bad.
