Which Motherboard is Better?

Solution
It depends on what you want to do. For overclocking the Gigabyte is the best AM3+ budget overclocking board around. If you have no plans to overclock the ASUS is a very good choice as well. I'd generally, almost always go with ASUS when it comes to motherboards but in this case I'd have to go with the Gigabyte regardless.

Take the one with the better power phase (gigabyte) even if you do not overclock. I know from experience that cpu's can run cooler just with the better power phasing. Higher VRM power phasing is not just for overclocking only. I like Asus. In fact I have two Asus boards. But in your case go gigabyte.
