I have a radeon r9 290x and want to water cool it with the kraken g10 and x41. But i have the feeling that it wont fit in my case. So i decided to put the pump and radiator of the x41 outside of my case. But to do that i have to take the pipes of from the x41 to fit Them through the holes in my case. I am not sue if this is possible to do. So thats why I am here to ask about if it is possible and if maybe someone else has a other suggestion or idea what I could do?

Get a bigger case......
Or don't try to watercool your 290x...
If you want to watercool, I always say do it the right way and stay away from those close loop pieces of garbage.

Hello,

Unfortunately, x41 cannot cool the 290X (rated TDP: 290W, but in full throttle these cards are known to break the 350W barrier)... The best solution is a custom watercooling loop.

If you still want to go the NZXT route, try the x60 or x61, just be sure your case can accomodate an 280mm radiator. You can also use a Corsair H105 (240mm) or H110 (280mm).

Sorry for the stupid questionb but I am not too experienced with water cooling. So how directly should I go with a custom loop? Should I just buy each part separately? Do you have any recommendations?
Btw I live in Denmark, so shipping from the U.S. isn't good for me.

There are some manufacturers here in Europe, just ask them about the nearest dealer:

http://www.alphacool.com
http://www.ekwb.com

Or you can buy from: http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk or http://www.overclockers.co.uk , they have in stock a lot of products.

You can go for a starter kit and after you gain some experience you can pick your own components.

Firstly though, please read this (you can find on www a lot of other tutorials/videos about PC watercooling):

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/a-beginners-guide-f...

I don't recommend you to build a custom water loop right now unless you have some experience with this kind of cooling systems (and especially if we're talking about the 290X, which is the second most power-hungry PC component right now; the exception is the 295X, but that card is already coming with its own liquid cooler). It is very easy to blow hundreds of euros of PC components by making the smallest mistake. Also, having little experience can drive you nuts when trying to troubleshoot the system. Be aware that the cost of such a cooling system can easily go over 300E.

The alternative:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/r9-290-accelero-xtr... , and use the x41 for the CPU.

Thanks for the help. I was planning on buying a x41 for my cpu even before your recommendation. And the same with the arctic. But I don't think that it will fit. Into my case. So I will probably just buy the kraken g10 and corsair h80i.
