You have a wireless card or are you connecting it by cable?
If its the wireless, perhaps try moving it, or buying long antennas to move on top of your desk or nearer the router.
If it's cable, check the cable itself. Try moving it to a different port on the router etc...

It can just be a slight change that makes a large difference to connectivity. Its worth a try anyway. I mean there's stuff like network diagnostics but if the internet works but is just slow then that suggests there isn't a hardware problem as such. Perhaps try moving the card to a different pci slot if you have one, also do try getting other aerials, It worked quite well for me. :)

Hmm well it doesn't seem like theres much else you can do... try using the wired slot on the motherboard if it has one? maybe that could possibly help
